Ban Teay Chhmar temple is an ancient temple that has wonderful Khmer architecture. This temple built during 12th and 13th centuries by king Jar Varman VII. It is a famous historical tour direction in the Banteay Meanchey province. It is also a very big temple that has beautiful design and construction as well. This temple is 59 kilometers from the provincial town. When you reach this temple, you will see great decoration of this ancient treasure. It constructed from sandstone and brick, and the wall is full of Khmer art works. The forest surrounds this temple that make up nice weather at this place too. Although some parts of this temple damage due to the time and civil war, and it is still a wonderful place that get attention from tourists. It will be a potential tour direction in future very soon. There are also many visitors go to see this temple every day as well.
