Independence Monument is a great place for Cambodian people and
it stands between Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard. Cambodia builds this
place to celebrate the independence from France. France controlled Cambodia
nearly one hundred years. This is a reason that Khmer people remember this
place in their heart. This great monument built with Angkor Wat style and other
ancient temple in Cambodia. It is designed by father of Khmer architect, and
his name is Vann Molyvann. It is a popular place that there are many
tourists got to see this place every day. They always take pictures of this
nice site too. They also walk around to see nice architecture of it too. It is
near the riverside and business center in the city as well.
